Moscovich made his stage debut in Russia in 1885 and toured the continent before coming to the U.S. in 1893. He made his first U.S. appearance on the stage as Samson, in the Yiddish production of ‘Samson and Delilah.’ He later toured the world with his own company before going to Hollywood in 1936. On Broadway he appeared in ‘Josef Suss’ and ‘The Merchant of Venice’ with John Halloran.
