    I absolutely adore him in everything; his range was something quite spectacular. Plus, he had that 'everyman' quality about him. He's missed, but at least I can see him on TCM. :-) I wonder....did he never marry? What a shame if there is no legacy to go on.

    I have enjoyed the many faceted characters in Thomas Mitchell's repertoir for many decades. Never saw Pocketful of Miracles until today and found it to be charming and heart warming. Mitchell's character in this piece was absolutely the most endearing of his career. A true master ...
