Nico Minardos was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Minardos had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the drama "The Glory Brigade" (1953) with Victor Mature, the adventure "Desert Sands" (1955) with Ralph Meeker and "Istanbul" (1957). He also appeared in the comedic adaptation "Holiday For Lovers" (1959) with Clifton Webb. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964). His film career continued throughout the sixties in productions like "Twelve Hours to Kill" (1960), the Jayne Mansfield dramatic comedy "It Happened in Athens" (1962) and "Samar" (1962) with George Montgomery. He also appeared in the western "Day of the Evil Gun" (1968) with Glenn Ford. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Challengers" (CBS, 1969-1970). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in "Cannon For Cordoba" (1970) and "Assault On Agathon" (1976). He also was featured in the TV movies "Sarge: The Badge or the Cross" (NBC, 1970-71) and "River of Mystery" (NBC, 1971-72). Minardos most recently appeared on "The Many Loves of Marilyn Monroe: The E! True Hollywood Story" (E! Networks, 2000-01).
