Hayley now a young woman gives a very nice performance as a young bride. Love the bathing scene when she shows off her bare backside.
A Delightful Talent!
Always a favorite of mine, with an endearing personality and phenomenal acting skill. Her Disney films are pure heaven, but my absolute #1 pick is "The Trouble With Angels." Hayley may have been tired of her wholesome image by the time this film was made, but you'd never know itl Her portrayal of Mary Clancey is top notch - finessed and professional, with a subtlety few actors could bring. I never tire of Mary's schemes and her "scathingly brilliant" ideas. A beautiful representation ofadolescence, with all of its highs and lows. Fabulous supporting cast, with whom she interacts superbly. A delight to watch and a wonderful part of my "growing up" years that I still adore today!!!
As a kid I was a huge Hayley Mills fan, Parent Trap being my absolute favorite movie of hers. She is a few years older than me so I was at a ripe young age where I tried to emulate her, mainly by talking with an english accent around family and friends. I know, what a weird kid I was. She was such a great child and teenage actress, and like so many child actors before her, her career not transitioning into adulthood. I would love to see TCM show some of her less famous Disney flicks, like Tiger Bay and Whistle Down the Wind with Alan Bates. To this day, Parent Trap is one of my top 10 films, although I think Maureen O'Hara stole the movie, but I idolized Hayley Mills at that time of my life.
More Hayley Mills, Please!

I just wanted to second the motion made by Tom Broyles that you feature Hayley Mills. She's always been one of my personal favorites, but some of her films are titles I haven't seen. For example, I saw "Gypsy Girl" for the first time when it aired the other night, and was completely charmed by it. I have also never seen her 60-minute biography. If not a "Hayley Mills Month", then how about a weekend-long marathon? THANKS!!!
Gypsy Girl is my favorite Hayley Mills Movie (1966), her father John was also in this one, it is a British film with very good acting and as for Hayley, the beginning of departure from Disney.
Pick a month for Hayley Mills to be featured
- Tom Broyles
Recommend you pick a month as you have done for other actors and designate it as Hayley Mills month. Her American films as a youth and her English films before and after her American focus are worthy of a concentrated retrospective. Would be great if Robert Osborne would interview her for her own work and maybe have a special on John Mills that Hayley could address for her father since he passed away.

I saw this movie as a child and could remember it well. Will it ever be shown again on Satellite? Please show it.
Ms. Hayley Mills is an excellent address whose popularity was with the Disney movies of the 1960's. Unfortunately, her talent was NOT used wisely outside of "Tiger BAY" in 1959 where at the age of 13 she showed the ability to diversify. With Disney she had an "image" to "uphold." "whitle Down The Wind," and "The Chalk Garden" show her different abilities to be able to play different roles in a great manner.
THE ONLY HALEY MILLS MOVIES I LIKE ARE THE WALT DISNEY ONES.THEY WERE DECSENT AND SHE WAS GREAT IN THEM!MY FAVORITE IS THE "MOON SPINNERS".I THINK IT WAS STUPID OF HER TO ABANDON THE WHOLESOME CHARECTERS SHE HAD PLAYED BEFORE TO BE IN BOGUS FILMS LIKE "THE FAMILY WAY".IM GLAD SHE WAS IN SOME GOOD FILMS,SHE WAS A GOOD ACTRESS!
A Fantastic Actress
Hayley Mills must be one of the most fun actresses to watch. She is full of energy and very unique. She is most often remembered for her performances in films like Pollyanna & The Parent Trap but, she made many other fun and enjoable films that I wish would be more appreciated.
