Pearce began his radio career in 1926 in San Francisco with his brother Cal. During the 1930s Al was later a master of ceremonies on a number of top network shows. He had his own variety show known as ‘Al Pearce and His Happy-Go-Lucky Gang.’ A wealthy man from his real estate holdings, Pearce died of complications from an ulcer operation.
