He also starred in the TV movies "Earth II" (1971-72), "Truman Capote's "The Glass House"" (CBS, 1971-72) and "Call to Danger" (CBS, 1972-73). He also appeared in "Promise Him Anything..." (ABC, 1974-75). Bell started in the industry by acting in films like "Stop" (1970). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Helter Skelter" (1975-76). He also appeared in the TV special "Hunter" (CBS, 1976-77). He also starred in the TV movies "Murder in Peyton Place" (NBC, 1977-78) and "11th Victim" (CBS, 1979-1980). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "The Premonition" (1975) with Sharon Farrell and "Why Shoot the Teacher" (1976).
