Edwin Holt McLean

studied acting at Ben Bards school of the spoken word, later school of acting.
in the 30's,was preforming in Boston,Ma. when his Number came up for the War.
the sgt. at the draft board had seen him preform, and wrote out the paperwork as 'Eddie McLean' forever changing his name on all official documents.
not even out of basic training, was approached to go in to special forces, entertaining the troops, was like a dream come true.

The Tail Spin,Rand's Roundup, The Dresden Room, to name a few, where entertainers of the day would come to eat after their show, often the management would ask them to preform. and they would.
