Mira McKinney was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, McKinney appeared in such films as the Charlie Chaplin comedy "Modern Times" (1936), "Alias the Deacon" (1940) and "Madame Spy" (1942). She also appeared in the crime flick "Fallen Angel" (1946) with Alice Faye. She continued to act in productions like the adaptation "Beat the Band" (1947) with Frances Langford, the Joan Crawford dramatic adaptation "Harriet Craig" (1950) and "Heart of the Rockies" (1951) with Roy Rogers. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Ginger Rogers comedy "The Groom Wore Spurs" (1951), the musical "Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder" (1952) with Frankie Laine and "The Last Posse" (1953). McKinney last acted in the drama "Women's Prison" (1955) with Ida Lupino. McKinney passed away in May 1978 at the age of 86.
