  There are few actors that can be so versatile and capture every scene they are in. Even fewer who can make you truly love each character they play, both hero and villain. There is only one Roddy McDowall. He was truly a Hollywood living treasure while he was alive and a wonderful reminder of a classic time in film, television, radio, and stage since his death in 1998. He is still loved by an entire legion of fans, as well as everyone who knew him while he was alive. Roddy McDowall was one of a kind...he is sorely missed, because he is so wonderful to watch.

  What ever character Roddy McDowall played, he played it in style. His performances in Planet of the Apes, Columbo and Legend of Hell House proves. showed just how versatile an actor he was. As a Hollywood great he needs an image on this site.
