Etta McDaniel was born December 1, 1890 in Wichita, Kansas. She is the sister of late actors Hattie McDaniel and Sam McDaniel. Her first film was that of an uncredited actress in the 1933 film "King Kong". She also appeared as an uncredited actress in the 1934 film "Imitation of Life", playing a stand-in for actress Louise Beavers. She was the singer of the song Old Folks at Home, in the 1936 film "The Lonely Trail". Etta's last film was the 1946 film "Society Mugs", as Petunia. Etta McDaniel died on December 13, 1946 in Los Angeles, California.
