Actress Mary McCarty started her entertainment career when she was just 15 years old. McCarty's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the musical "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm" (1938) with Shirley Temple Black, "In the Meantime, Darling" (1944) and the musical "The French Line" (1954) with Jane Russell. She also appeared in the comedy "Pillow Talk" (1959) with Rock Hudson. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, appearing in the Ray Bolger adaptation "Babes in Toyland" (1961) and "My Six Loves" (1963). She also appeared in the TV special "Don't Call Me Mama Anymore" (CBS, 1973-74). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the mystery "Somebody Killed Her Husband" (1978) with Farrah Fawcett and the Roy Scheider adaptation "All That Jazz" (1979). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Trapper John, M.D." (CBS, 1979-1986). McCarty most recently worked on "The Chieftains Over Ireland" (1999-2000).
