Charles McAvoy worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. McAvoy's film career can be credited to debut roles in "Badge of Honor" (1934) and "Miss Fane's Baby Is Stolen" (1934). McAvoy made film his next project, appearing in the Carl Brisson crime adaptation "Murder at the Vanities" (1934) and "The Dark Mirror" (1946). Toward the end of his career, McAvoy acted in the Rosalind Russell crime flick "The Velvet Touch" (1948).
