Martha Mattox was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Mattox started her acting career landing roles in such films as "The Scarlet Drop" (1918), "Beauty's Worth" (1922) and "Rich Men's Wives" (1922). She also appeared in "Woman-Proof" (1923), "Oh, Doctor!" (1924) and "The Home Maker" (1925). She continued to act in productions like "Shameful Behavior?" (1926), "The Torrent" (1926) with Ricardo Cortez and "The Waning Sex" (1926). She also appeared in "Finger Prints" (1927), "Her Wild Oat" (1927) and "The Cat and the Canary" (1927). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Fools For Luck" (1928), the Tom Mix western "The Big Diamond Robbery" (1929) and "Dynamite Ranch" (1932). She also appeared in "Haunted Gold" (1932), the Barbara Stanwyck drama "So Big" (1932) and the drama "The Bitter Tea of General Yen" (1932) with Barbara Stanwyck. Mattox last acted in the Rex Lease thriller "The Monster Walks" (1932). Mattox passed away in May 1933 at the age of 54.
