Richard Moir was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Early on, Moir mostly landed roles in various films, including "In Search of Anna" (1979), "The Odd Angry Shot" (1979) and "The Chain Reaction" (1980) with Steve Bisley. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Prisoner: Cell Block H" (1979-1980) and "1915" (1982-83). He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in "Heatwave" (1982), "Runnin' on Empty" (1982) and "The Plains of Heaven" (1983). He also appeared in the drama "With Prejudice" (1983) with Scott Burgess, the action movie "Fast Lane Fever" (1984) with Terry Serio and "Wrong World" (1984). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in "An Indecent Obsession" (1985) with Wendy Hughes, "Jilted" (1987) and "Outback" (1988). He also appeared in the adventure "Isabelle Eberhardt" (1991) with Matilda May, the adventurous drama "Hard Knuckle" (1992) with Steve Bisley and the drama "Deadly" (1993) with Jerome Ehlers. Moir most recently acted in the Johnathon Schaech comedic adaptation "Welcome to Woop Woop" (1998).
