Began working with Frederico Fellini with "Giulietta of the Spirits"; continued working with the director throughout his career; other films included, "City of Women", "Amarcord", "Casanova" and "Satyricon"

Began working with Francesco Rosi on all his films begining with "Uomini contro" and continuing with "Illustrious Corpses", "Lucky Luciano", "Christ Stopped at Eboli" and "Three Brothers"
1970:
Acted in Luigi Magni's comedy "Scipione detto anche l'Africano" co-starring his brother, Marcello, Vittorio Gassman and Silvana Mangano; also edited several feature films for the director
