  Lee Marvin had such a wide acting range. I saw "Ship Of Fools" and he was interesting. He performed with Vivien Leigh and did a great job. Anyone could see he admired and respected her. In one scene Vivien beats him about his head with a high-heel shoe. He kept her shoe as a momento until he died. It's hard not to respect him...he was a Marine sniper spotter and is laid to rest at Arlignton National Cemetery. Of the 24 men in his outfit he was wounded and the other survived at the Battle of Saipan. One great actor...greatest performance was "The Dirty Dozen". I liked it better than "Cat Ballou".

  Great guy, I love his motorcycle gang movies, he always told it like it was, I respect that, now a days there's to many LOSER's, honesty is rare! take care Lee

  When any American or anyone visits Arlington National Cemetery. Visit Pvt Lee Marvin's Grave site. Remember his service to the nation and the USMC. He was a role model for all . I remember Paint Your Wagon and Donavan's reef and Big Red one as My favorites.
