I saw the TCM Gay Desperado on Oct 8, 2010, and would not have watched the flic, except it had been redone by UCLA, which usually tries to save films that are important. I was almost ready to switch chanels. I stayed tuned because I like Ida Lupino and still remember Leo Carillo as the side kick of the Cisco Kid when it was a series in the early days of TV. UCLA may have saved this film because the cameraman in my opinion added much to a flic that I couldn't decide was silly,a farce, or satire. It wasn't until I saw Dino Martini dressed in a ridiculous sombrero that I saw something of an 80's spoof of Star Wars called Space Balls. If you recall that flic, the character spoofing Darth Vader wore a helmet that was about three sizes too big. So ridiculous yet so funny. So would I recommend someone watching this film? If you like goofy off beat flics. Yes.
