I first saw Miss Aline MacMahon in a movie with Marjorie Mann. I love Marjorie Mann, and was watching the movie because of her. Aline was in there too. They were going to raise a baby that was their niece and she had died. I had seen another movie on TCM that had Aline in it and I was delighted. My city is oine that loves the actors, Elizabeth Patterson is from here and is buried here. We don't see enough of Miss Aline MacMahon. Marcia McKinney

Hello fellow classic film lover. I can see how you can confuse the two :) I am a HUGE Agnes Moorehead fan, and when I saw Dragon Seed for the first time, I actually thought for a split second that she played Lings wife (But then I looked closer and realized it was Aline and that Agnes played Third Cousins Wife). Also, Agnes was not in GDof1933 b/c she did not make her film debut until Orson Well's 1941 Citizen Kane :) Before Kane, she was mostly in Radio and on the legitimate stage. But I agree, they do resemble each other a bit. RE siblings, I do not know abt Aline Macmahon, but Miss Moorehead did indeed have a sister, but she died when she was very young (under slightly suspicious circumstances), and Agnes rarely, if ever, talked about he

After watching "Golddiggers of 1933" I was convinced that "Trixie" was played by a young Agnes Moorehead as I tried to name the actors I was watching in their younger years. So desiring to know if I was correct in my assumption I went on line to look it up on TCM. I was wrong! Now my question is, are the two ladies related somehow? In her Bio (Aline) there is no mention of siblings. So strong is the facial similarities between the two I would find it hard to believe they are not related. Can someone answer my question? And does anyone else think the same? Thank you.
