She was truly a woman before the time. I remember her vaguely on TV in Mrs.Adam and Eve and even at that young age I found something to be special about her. Then I started watching her movies and was really memorized by her acting. It really is a shame that the Academy didn't acknowledge her during her lifetime.but that being said they could acknowledge her now with a special Oscar that maybe her daughter could accept. She had so many films under her belt I wish TCM would view more of them!!!

I saw many of Ida Lupino's films when she was at Warner brothers and the few that she made at 20 th century fox. Ms. Lupino was one of the first female directors, first in movies and later on TV. She was a producer, composer as well as an actress and director. What amazes me is that she is a BIGGER STAR long after her death in 1995. It is a shame that the Academy of Arts and Sciences never gave her an OSCAR for her body of work. I am hoping that when they see the outpouring of respect and admiration, the Academy would do the right thing and award her the OSCAR she deserved; even now. Considering what I have been seeing onlilne, it would be great if all of Ms. Lupino's fans would write to the Academy and ask for what is due a great artist.

I love Ida Lupino. What a great and talented actress and director. A true pioneer for women directors. I can't believe the Academy never rewarded her with an Oscar, for acting or directing, but then again, there have been many actors and actresses who've been passed over time and again. Ida Lupino is a classic, I loved how she dressed and how she looked. I loved her tenderness and her toughness, she made you like her or hate her. Underrated and unheralded, but much appreciated by movie fans. And one of the true Hollywood beauties!!

So many wonderful performances you can't hardly single out one or two. One of my all time favorite is just a minor supporting role in " Junior Bonner ". Her contributions to quality Film and TV will probably be regarded second to her beauty and acting and that is a shame but completely understandable. Ida Lupino the One and Only.

She was one of the best ever along with Bette Davis. Her delicate beauty was something special. A truely great actress who was somewhat underrated.

Thank you for finally getting around to making Ida Lupino Star of the month. She is stupendous and every movie she made was sheer excellent. Her co stars, minus Humphery Bogart were weak but she carried the show. How the academy could have left out an actress with her talent is rediculous. SWhe is up ther with Bette Davis and should have been as credited and popular, and that is the top of the line. I love her as an actress and director and please show her pictures more often. I'm sure that you have opened up a lot of eyes to a tremendous actress.
