BIOGRAPHY

Ray Lovejoy graduated to full-fledged editor on Stanley Kubrick's monumental "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968) and worked on several fine 1970s films including Peter Medak's "The Ruling Class" (1972). He closed the decade with Kubrick's "The Shining" (1980) before embarking on a fruitful, multi-film collaboration with director Peter Yates beginning with "Krull" (1983). For his work on "Aliens" (1986), Lovejoy earned his sole Oscar nomination. Among his other notable achievements were "Batman" (1989) and "Lost in Space" (1998).
