Arthur Lueker was born in Chicago December 15th 1900. As a young man he served in the Navy and ended up in Long Beach, California. He met and married Anna Violet Brown in the late 20s. While living in L.A., Arthur landed a job as a driver for Jack Warner and Mervyn Leroy, and a short time later was brought to Warner Bros. and put to work as a second assistant director on a film called "THE HOUSE ON 56TH ST" (1933), and "THE GOLD DIGGERS OF 1933". Arthur spent 35 years in the film business, most at Warner Bros., worked with the great actors and directors of the time as a director, a unit prod manager, and an assistant director, and location scout until 1968, when he retired in Los Angeles with his wife. Arthur Lueker passed away March 29th 1970.
