Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Born into a prominent acting family, actress Anne Lockhart is best known for her prolific career as a supporting player in television and film. Lockhart grew up in Brentwood, California, where she entered the family profession in 1958 (her mother, June Lockhart, and grandparents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart, are all actors). That year, Anne appeared in the Oscar-nominated short film "T Is for Tumbleweed." It wasn't until 1965, however, that her career truly got underway with appearances on numerous TV shows, including four episodes of "Lassie." Lockhart made her feature-film debut in 1972 on the forgettable Western "Jory," and, for the most part, returned to work on network television for the rest of her life. Her most notable recurring role was probably Lieutenant Sheba on the 1970s sci-fi series "Battlestar Galactica." Into the '80s, she was featured on nearly every one of the decade's iconic shows. "Airwolf," "Knight Rider," "Magnum, P.I."--and that's only scratching the surface.
