Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Since her parents, Joan and Rob French, were both fashion models, it was only natural for Kate to follow in their footsteps. Her attractive features were a natural for the camera, but acting was where French's true passion lay. In 2006 she landed a recurring role on the primetime soap opera "Wicked Wicked Games" and the following year played college student Sasha Miller on the third and final season of the teen drama "South of Nowhere." In 2008 she played the fiery lesbian actress Niki Stevens on the Showtime drama "The L Word" and also had a small recurring role on "Gossip Girl." She gained much exposure playing a home wrecker named Renee on the seventh season of the young adult drama "One Tree Hill." In addition to her acting, French has aspirations of becoming a writer and has taken courses at the University of California Santa Barbara.
