A chameleon-like regional theater veteran, Stephen Lang won acclaim for his performance on the Broadway stage as the murderous Col. Jessep in Aaron Sorkin's "A Few Good Men" (1989) and received a Tony nomination for his performance as a disturbed Vietnam veteran in Steve Tesich's "Speed of Darkness" (1990).

The compact, light-haired actor made his screen debut in Bud Yorkin's "Twice in a Lifetime" (1985) and gave strong performances as a tabloid journalist in Michael Mann's "Manhunter" (1986) and as a closeted homosexual in "Last Exit to Brooklyn" (1989). In 1991's "The Hard Way," Lang played the psychotic villain, appeared as General Pickett in "Gettysburg" (1993) and was featured in John Sayles' "Lone Star" (1996).

Lang's TV credits include recreating his stage role of Happy opposite Dustin Hoffman's Willy Loman in "Death of a Salesman" (CBS, 1985), portraying the legendary baseball star "Babe Ruth" (NBC, 1991) and played a man struggling with an evil force in "The Possession of Michael D." (Fox, 1995).
