A New York University graduate, Horwin was lured to Hollywood by Carl Laemmle as a story editor for Universal. He later served as a story editor for CBS TV in New York. Throughout his career he wrote a number of screenplays and collaborated on the play ‘My Dear Children’ which starred John Barrymore and Elaine Barry. He also authored a best selling novel, ‘Tasker Martin.’ Horwin died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
