Olive Hasbrouck appeared in 48 films, mostly Westerns, between 1924 and 1929. She has been described by screen historians as nearly every silent Western star's favorite leading lady. A red-head, the 53 Hasbrouck acted in vaudeville before moving to films. A very pretty but limited actress, she never really enjoyed a following outside of the B-Western genre, despite appearing in such popular mainstream films as The Cohens and Kellys (1926). Like many silent-era stars, she retired from films at the advent of sound. She was born in Lewiston, Idaho, in 1907.
