The Cisco Kid (Duncan Renaldo) and Pancho (Martin Garralaga) stop the marriage of Rosita (Cecelia Callejo) to Harris (Roger Pryor) by claiming that Cisco is already married to her, and exhibit a borrowed child, Nancy (Sharon Smith) as proof. Cisco carries off the furious Rosita, but finds, when returning Nancy, that her real father (Walter Clinton) has been shot to death. Assuming responsibility for Nancy, Cisco sends her and Rosita to stay with Tia (Eva Puig), and he visits the local padre (Fritz Leiber). Harris and Conway (Anthony Warde) scheme to get custody of the child, so they can obtain the money left to her by her father. As part of the plot, an actress (Vicky Lane), comes to town posing as the girl's mother, accompanied by her maid Jeanette (Jan Wiley). Rosita, jealous of the attention Cisco is paying to Jeanette, tells Harris where the child is being kept in hiding. Cisco sends Pancho to the sheriff (Bud Osborne) with a message promising to give himself up for "kidnapping" Nancy if the sheriff will bring along "Mrs. Page" and Conway.
Universal Pictures 63rd sound-era serial (between "Mystery of the River Boat" and "The Masater Key") finds that Nazi agents are trying to arouse the tribes of the middle jungle in Africa to revolt against the British. Americans Bob Elliott (Edward Norris) and Chuck Kelly (Eddie Quillan) arrive to help the British agents. Lothel (Ruth Roman), the mysterious Queen of the Jungle, appaers and disappears always in the nick of time to save them, and also Pam Courtney (Lois Collier), niece of the explorer Alan Courtney (Boyd Irwin). Dr. Elise Bork (Tala Birell) and her henchman Lang (Douglass Dumbrille) are the Nazi chiefs, posing as scientists. Lang has great influence on some of the tribesman, especially with Maata (Napoleon Simpson) who wants to keep Kyba (Clarence Muse) from becoming judge over all the tribes. A Secret Sword is the key to the ruler of the jungles, and the holder of this secret is sought by both the British and the Nazis. Courtney is the only white man who knws the secret but is killed before he can reveal it to his niece Pamela. The forces of good finally prevail in Chapter 13, "The Secret of the Sword!", through the help of Lotel, who disappears in the same sheet of flame that has marked her coming and going.

Margaret, furious with Henny for the blunder, fires him---but only temporarily. Another agent, Marty Allen (Richard Lane), once married to and still in love with Margaret, signs Betty and Eileen. Henny arrives with Judy and Marian, and the nightclub manager asks Henny to emcee the show. Though he is not sure himself what they can do, Henny introduces the girls and they make a hit in a dramatic sketch. (Simmer down, it's just a Monogram movie, and their nightclub attendees can react anyway director Phil Karlstein/Karlson wants them to.) Big-time movie producer R. J. (Alan Dinehart) signs them to a film contract. So, what does this have to do with the title, "A WAVE, a WAC and a Marine"? Because Judy joins the WAVES, Marian the WACS and Marty the Marines and all have two weeks before induction, and that is more than long enough to shoot a Monogram musical-within-a-Monogram musical and have a few days to spare.

Jackson), Ferris kills the officer and escapes. McNeil and Joyce arrive immediately afterwards and are accused of the killing by the neighbors. John Marlin (John Miljan), assistant District Attorney, railroads the lovers because he wants to use their prosecution to boost his drive for the District Attorney post.Fred is sentenced to hang and Joyce is given life in prison.

Profiteer Alexander Stiles (Cy Kendall) lays claim to a million acres of range in the Pecos River country, but a rancher named Clayborn (John Beck) stands in his way as he has already claimed the water-rich location of Sweetwater as his own, and refuses Stiles' $1000 offer for his land. Led by the murderous Ash (Jack Clifford), the hired guns of Stiles kill Clayborn and his wife (Mary MacLaren) but their young son John (Bradley Metcalfe Jr.) survives and joins his grandfather in Austin. As the boy grows into a man he learns the use of a law book as well as a six gun, intending to use both to bring Stiles to justice. As lawyer John Clay (John Wayne), he travels to the Cottonwood headquarters of Stiles, self-proclaimed King of the Pecos, and meets Hank Matthews (Arthur Aylesworth) and Josh Billings (Herbert Heywood), two cattlemen thrown into poverty through the crooked dealings of Stiles. John serves a summons for Stiles to appear in court but the circuit judge (James Marcus) is too frightned to face the might of Stiles. John sends Hank to round up other impoverished cattlemen, and they provide the judge with an armed escort to Cottonwood. The judge upholds the ranchers' pleas for use of water and grass, and Stiles sees most of his ill-gotten gains turned over to public domain for proper filing. Stiles convinces newcomers Eli Jackson (Edward Hearn) and his daughter Belle (Muriel Evans) that John is trying to cheat the ranchers and file claims for himself. He also plans an ambush for those riding through the canyon to file claims and he sends Ash and his gunmen to the hills, instructing them to shoot anyone without the white arm bands he has supplied to his own riders. John discovers the plot and has the ranchers to also wear white arm bands, ensuring their safe passage. With their claim successfully filed the ranchers plan a cattle drive to Abilene where the railroad is promising $20 a head. Stiles steals whatever cattle he can and moves his outlaws to Sweetwater, where he hopes to extort money for use of the water there from the trail drivers. When the drive reaches Sweetwater, John confronts Stiles, revealing that he is the son of the murdered Clayborn's and that Sweetwater rightfully belongs to him. Following a siege by John and the ranchers, Stiles tries to escape by buckboard, but when the wagon tips over he is crushed by the safe containing money he has stolen from others. John pursues Ash into the rocks, offering him a chance to draw first and then ills him. John leaves his gun and his quest for revenge at the site and turns his mind to Belle and his law career.
Though he fought for the North in the Civil War, John is asked by the Governor of Texas to get rid of some troublesome carpetbaggers. He enlists the help of Holden before learning that Holden too is plundering the local folk.
