Violet was the sister of actors Anthony, Greta and Lillian Kemble Cooper and was married to writer Walter Ferris. She appeared in a number of Broadway shows from 1912 to 1934 including: ‘Peg O' My Heart,’ ‘Clair de Lune,’ ‘The Laughing Lady,’ ‘The Command to Love’ and ‘Mackerel Skies,’ among others. She died from Parkinson's disease and a stroke.
