COMPLETE FILMOGRAPHY WITH SYNOPSIS
Cast (feature film)
The daughter of a ship's captain becomes a sea-going cupid.
A fore-runner and a semi- slight version of "Take Care of My Little Girl" from Sam Katzman, but pert-and-pretty Jean Porter had a knack for making Katzman's pictures look better than they were. Here, she (as Joanne Leeds), interrupts her carnival singing career to enroll as a freshman at Upton College. She quickly encounters the snobbery of the sorority girls because of her background. But the sorority is reorganized on democratic principles and she is invited to join, although it is never made too clear why she would want to join this group of airheads anyway.
A soldier returning from World War II finds love with a lady swimmer.
Because a high school girl's parents refuse to discuss sex education (called "personal hygiene" in the film) with her, she gets pregnant by her boyfriend, who conveniently dies. Her parents are blamed, and the local sex education teacher uses this opportunity to show a film showing the dangers (and results) of VD and the birth of a baby.
A British farm girl fights to train a difficult horse for the Grand National Steeplechase.
A songwriter enrolls in an all-girl school to court a pretty gym teacher.
A retired vaudevillian clashes with his producer son.
Roy returns home to fine a range feud between the cattlemen and the sheepmen. When his friend is killed he finds the rifle had a defective pin. He learns the rifle belongs to a ranch hand named Barker and that a third party has caused the feud. When he captures outlaws trying to blow up a dam, he claims Barker was the killer. But Barker has switched rifles and the outlaws now accuse Roy and Roy finds himself in trouble.
Teenage autograph seekers cause trouble at MGM.
True story of the farm boy who made the transition from religious pacifist to World War I hero.
The dangers of his job threaten to break up a stuntman and his movie star wife.
A happily married woman lets her catty friends talk her into divorce when her husband strays.
