The Fourth Annual Tampa International Film Festival, Feb. 3-11, 2006

If you're looking for a quiet film festival that will generate great movie conversations, try the Tampa International Film Festival (TIFF), which will be in action from February 3-11. Only in its fourth year, TIFF is already generating a buzz among southern festivals with their emphasis on quality, not quantity. Two notable directors will be screening their latest films as well as participate in panel discussions of their work: French-Canadian Bernard Emond (The Novena); and acclaimed Indian filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta (Memories in the Mist). Also, TIFF will continue their tradition of showcasing excellent European short films. This year's entries will hail from both France and Spain.
