"Richmond or Death" from The Hours
2002. Stephen Dillane as Leonard Woolf comes in sight of his wife, Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf sitting down on a bench at the train platform, where he proceeds to confront her about her behavior and whereabouts, and then tells her to go home and fulfill her obligations. Virginia refuses, and while Leonard protests, she states that she wants to go back to London, and tells him about the agency she has over her own condition and her own life.

The Jackie Robinson Story (1950)
The actual film is in black and white, like the times. An interesting predecessor to 2012's 42.
