What will be happening at the Festival?

In addition to a weekend filled with over 50 screenings of classic films, including new restorations of landmark films, in venues across Hollywood, pass holders will enjoy exclusive access to Club TCM, where fans can socialize, attend meet and greets with TCM guests, shop for classic film memorabilia, and enjoy panel discussions with special guests on all aspects of film and the history of Hollywood. And all of these activities will be in the company of people like you - who love classic film and want to share this experience with others who feel the same way.

More information about the venues hosting the screening events can be found here (link to venue page).

How do I get the latest information?

Do I need to buy a pass to attend the Festival?

The ideal way to experience the Festival is by purchasing one of the Passes: The Classic, The Essential or The Spotlight. The only way to attend special events, panels, and receptions is as a pass holder. Passes offer the best chance of getting into the movies that you want to see. Pass holders are seated before any individual ticket purchasers. Individual tickets will only be available for sale on the day of and immediately prior to show time. Ticket holders will be seated only after all pass holders have been admitted.

For full details on the three levels of passes or to purchase one, visit our Pass page.

How do I order a pass?

Passes may be ordered online or by phone at 1-877-517-FILM. You must be 18 to purchase a pass. Passes may be used by individuals aged 13 and older.

Can I buy a one-day pass?

No - all passes are for use during the entire 4-day event.

Can I purchase a ticket for a single event?

A limited amount of individual tickets will only be sold day of show immediately prior to the show at the venue box office for that event. Due to demand and priority seating for pass holders, many events may not have individual tickets available at the door.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit cards are the only form of payment accepted for advance pass orders (we accept Master, Visa, Discover, and American Express). Any passes sold at the door, once the Festival has commenced, may be purchased using credit card or cash. Individual ticket sales at the door, day of show, are cash only. Mail orders will not be accepted.

Can I purchase a pass at the Festival, or does it require advance purchase?

If passes remain unsold at the start of the Festival, those passes will be available for purchase when the box office opens on Thursday, April 22. Passes will be sold on a first come, first served basis. For this reason, TCM encourages attendees to purchase passes early, prior to the Festival.

Am I guaranteed a seat at any screening event I want to attend if I purchase a pass?

A pass does not guarantee seating. However, pass holders receive admission until house capacity is reached in the venue. Seats are primarily reserved for pass holders. Pass holders are seated before any individual ticket purchasers. Bearers of the Spotlight Pass will receive priority admission to all events, and will be seated first. However, it is recommended that pass holders arrive to the screenings at least 30 minutes prior to the start of a film. If capacity is reached for a particular screening, there will be repeat screenings of select films or you can see a different film running concurrently in another venue.

How long will it take me to receive my pass after I order it?

Passes will be mailed at or about 6 weeks prior to the event. If you are ordering multiple passes, all of them will be mailed to the address of the person purchasing the passes. If you do not know all of the names of attendees at the time of order, purchaser name will be used as a placeholder. Customers will receive direction, upon confirmation of order, on how to update name information on passes, if necessary.

If I purchase a pass and am unable to attend, what is the refund policy?

We will accept written requests for refunds until 9 weeks prior to the event, February 18, 2010.

If I purchase a pass and am unable to attend, can I give my pass to someone else?

Passes are non-transferable once they have been issued.

What is the deadline for buying a pass?

Passes will be available until sold out.

Can I volunteer at the Film Festival?

Information on volunteer opportunities is not available at this time. Please sign up at tcm.com/festival to receive any updates.

What is the dress code for the festival?

That information will be sent to pass holders prior to the festival.
